The goal of the project is to have a better understanding how much greenhouse gases (GHGs) Estonia actually emits and absorbs. Climate change is one of greatest challenges mankind is about to face in the coming decades. It is important to have as good understanding as possible about the causes and also the consequences climate change will bring. Regio together with European Space Agency (ESA) and the best Estonian scientists from the University of Tartu and Tartu Observatory will investigate the carbon cycle in Estonia and report the research results. Thanks to ESA most innovative space technologies and latest satellite data would be used.
